MASSENERGIZE - MOBILIZING JEWISH FAMILIES AND CONGREGATIONS TO TAKE HOUSEHOLD CLIMATE ACTIONS
Jewish Climate Action Network seeks to sound out an urgent and visionary Jewish voice on the crisis of climate change. We do this by building relationships with environmental and justice leaders in Jewish and other communal organizations; inspiring and mobilizing Jewish communities to take leadership and participate in bold climate campaigns; and providing informational resources to allies working on climate change action.
We are collaborating with MassEnergize to create this web platform to provide our affiliate congregations a resource to help their members reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. Each congregation is listed as a team. Find your congregation’s team or if your congregation is not listed as a team, join as an unaffiliated congregant. We welcome all!

The intensity of the climate crisis is increasing, and it can be difficult to know what to do to make a difference. To meet that need, MassEnergize and the Jewish Climate Action Network were pleased to kick off an exciting collaboration in November 2020. All those concerned about climate change and wondering what to do can learn about the exciting tool developed by MassEnergize to enable and encourage individual and collective actions on climate change in synagogues and communities.
Rabbi Jennie Rosenn, Founder & CEO of Dayenu, was the guest speaker. Dayenu is a new organization building a dynamic, multi-generational movement of American Jews courageously confronting the climate crisis. She was joined in discussion by Rabbis Josh Briendel, Louis Pollison, and Katy Allen, as well as Ellen Tohn of MassEnergize and individual climate activists.
Several MetroWest congregations are already moving forward with MassEnergize. Others are invited to join. Watch and learn about how you and your congregation can be a part of this new initiative that can reduce your carbon footprint. Collectively, we can make a big difference.
This program was made possible by a generous CJP MetroWest Grant.
