​If you're going to travel for business or pleasure, you might as well balance your emissions by offsetting. Love them or hate them, companies buy millions of carbon offsets every year. Simplifying, the academic literature makes seemingly contradictory conclusions: 1) most offsets are junk and 2) good offsets are better  than almost all other tradeable instruments.
